Green Point Christian College is seeking an experienced Christian educator to join the College Executive and lead our whole-school approach to Christian formation from Kindergarten to Year 12.

Green Point Christian College is a Christian, independent, co-educational school serving approximately 1,150 students on the Central Coast of New South Wales. Our purpose is to equip students for a life of redemptive action through a holistic education grounded in a Biblical perspective. We want every student to grow in wisdom and flourish in right relationship with God, themselves, others and the world around them.

The Opportunity

This newly defined executive portfolio will help ensure that a student's formation across thirteen years is deliberate, coherent and cumulative. The Director will translate the College's educational philosophy, Formation Framework and Learner/Graduate Profile into the everyday experience of students. That work includes the pastoral care programs in both schools, Life and chapel, the Christian ministry curriculum, service and mission, student leadership, and the daily rhythms through which character and culture are formed.

Reporting to the Principal, the Director will set the framework, standards, program design and quality review for formation across the College. The role supervises chaplaincy and the Co-ordinator of Mission and Service, supports the spiritual life and formation of students and staff, and works closely with the Heads of School, the Director of Learning and Teaching, and the Director of Enrichment.

Leading across the College

This is a strategic framework and influence role. The Heads of School retain responsibility for delivery, staffing, timetabling and day-to-day decisions, while the Director creates the shared vision, scope and sequence, resources and review processes that make formation consistent from K-12. Success will depend on a collaborative leader who can work across the College's learning and teaching, formation and enrichment portfolios, and who can pursue worthwhile priorities with a clear awareness of staff capacity.

The right person will combine a thoughtful, biblically grounded understanding of the whole person with the ability to build sustainable systems. Pastoral sensitivity is important, but the primary task is to implement a College-wide vision through strong frameworks, well-designed programs and resources, and careful evaluation of their effectiveness.

What you will bring

• A mature and active Christian faith, involvement in a local church, and the ability to affirm and live by the College's Statement of Faith.

• Current NESA accreditation at Proficient Teacher or above and experience leading Christian formation, ministry or Christian Studies in a school setting.

• Theological training or a ministry qualification are desirable, or a demonstrated theological depth sufficient to lead the College's thinking about formation.

• The capacity to turn vision into a coherent K-12 scope and sequence, practical resources, clear standards and a meaningful review cycle.

• Strong systems thinking together with the judgement and care needed to respond well to students, staff and families.

• A collaborative executive style, with the ability to lead change through influence, build trust, and give and receive honest feedback with respect.
