Alphacrucis University College, Australia’s largest Christian University College, is seeking a Director of Quality and Standards to provide strategic leadership across higher education, vocational education and micro-credentials. This is a senior, influential role for a professional who understands quality not merely as compliance, but as a driver of continuous improvement, student success and institutional integrity.
About the Role
Reporting to the Deputy Vice President Faculty, the Director of Quality and Standards is responsible for leading and embedding quality assurance frameworks across Alphacrucis’ multi-campus and third-party delivery environment. The role oversees quality systems aligned to the Higher Education Standards Framework, VET Quality Framework and National Micro-credentials Framework, ensuring strong academic outcomes while supporting innovation and growth.
This position works closely with faculty leaders and professional staff, acting as a trusted advisor and collaborator to strengthen quality practices, manage risk and enhance the student experience during a period of institutional transition and expansion
Your Impact
In this key leadership role, your influence will be felt across the entire institution. You will:
Lead and mature quality assurance systems across HE, VET and micro-credentials
Support faculty and staff to engage positively with standards and regulatory frameworks
Oversee internal audits, independent reviews, benchmarking and grade moderation
Lead accreditation, registration, CRICOS and regulatory submissions
Strengthen relationships with third-party partners and external stakeholders
Contribute to academic governance through Academic Board involvement and committee leadership
Your work will protect the integrity of Alphacrucis’ awards, build confidence with regulators and partners, and directly support high-quality learning and positive student experiences.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
A personal commitment to the Christian faith
A completed higher education qualification from an Australian university
Demonstrated leadership in quality assurance, ideally within a dual-sector environment
Strong knowledge of Australian HE and VET standards, ESOS and CRICOS requirements
Experience leading accreditation, audits and regulatory reporting
Exceptional stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills
A collaborative, instructive and proactive approach to quality and standards
You will be confident, emotionally intelligent and comfortable operating in a complex, fast-paced environment while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
