Director of Student Marketing and Recruitment
Alphacrucis University College
Parramatta, NSW
Full Time Position | Hybrid
Shape the future of a growing university. Drive meaningful student growth. Lead with purpose.
Alphacrucis University College (AC) is Australia’s largest Christian University College, equipping leaders to bring transformation into communities across the nation and around the world. With a bold vision to become a global Christian university, AC is entering an exciting phase of growth, and we are seeking a strategic, commercially astute leader to join us as Director of Student Marketing & Recruitment.
Why this role matters - This is not a typical marketing leadership role.
You will sit at the centre of AC’s growth strategy, owning the full student journey from first engagement through to enrolment, and shaping how thousands of prospective students discover their purpose through education.
Your leadership will directly influence:
Student growth across domestic and international markets
Brand positioning and market visibility
The effectiveness of AC’s entire recruitment ecosystem
The long-term sustainability and impact of the institution
The opportunity
Reporting to the Provost, you will lead an integrated marketing and recruitment function, bringing together strategy, data, and execution to deliver measurable growth outcomes.
You’ll:
Design and execute a data-driven student acquisition strategy across all channels
Own and optimise the end-to-end recruitment funnel (lead → nurture → convert)
Lead, coach and build a high-performing marketing and recruitment team
Partner with faculties, campuses, and external agencies to align growth initiatives
Use CRM, analytics and market insights to continuously improve performance
Deliver clear reporting and forecasting to executive leadership
A day in the role
This is a fast-paced, highly collaborative leadership role where no two days look the same.
You might:
Analyse campaign performance and refine conversion strategies
Align messaging with academic leaders and campus priorities
Meet with agencies to sharpen campaign execution
Forecast enrolments and report insights to senior leadership
Coach your team to lift performance and accountability
At every step, your focus is clear: attract the right students, and help them take the next step in their journey.
What you bring
You are a strategic leader who can operate at both altitude and ground level, comfortable shaping direction and rolling up your sleeves to deliver results.
You’ll bring:
Proven experience leading marketing and/or student recruitment functions
A strong track record of delivering growth and hitting targets
Deep capability across digital marketing, CRM systems, and data analytics
Expertise in pipeline management, conversion optimisation, and ROI
The ability to influence and collaborate across diverse stakeholders
A leadership style that builds accountability, performance, and culture
What sets you apart
You understand (or are motivated to deeply engage with) the Australian higher education landscape
You are commercially minded, but purpose-driven
You bring strong storytelling and communication capability
You thrive in complexity, ambiguity, and growth environments
Most importantly, you are aligned with AC’s mission and values, and motivated by the opportunity to contribute to something bigger than yourself.
Why Alphacrucis?
At AC, education is about more than knowledge, it’s about purpose, calling, and impact.
You’ll join a Christ centred, values-driven organisation that:
Is deeply committed to developing leaders who change the world
Integrates faith, learning, and professional growth
Is experiencing significant growth and transformation
Offers the opportunity to shape strategy at a senior level
Provides a supportive, mission-aligned culture
