The Pacific Group of Christian Schools (PGOCS) invites applications for the newly created role of Executive Principal, a rare and significant leadership opportunity within Australian Christian education.
This appointment marks an important moment in the life of PGOCS as the Board transitions from a long-standing, legacy leadership model to a future-focused structure that separates system-wide leadership from single-school principalship. The Executive Principal will serve as the senior educational and spiritual leader of the Group, providing oversight, vision and strategic leadership across a diverse and growing network of Christ-centred schools.
About the Pacific Group of Christian Schools
PGOCS is a Christ-centred education community committed to shaping lives of purpose, character and hope. Emerging from the vision of local Christian communities, the Group now comprises ten schools, a distance education provider, and an Early Learning Centre across metropolitan, regional and online contexts in New South Wales.
While each school retains its unique local identity, all are united by a shared commitment to a gospel-shaped culture, educational excellence, and authentic Christian community. Faith is not an adjunct to learning at PGOCS, it is foundational.
The Role
The Executive Principal is entrusted with stewarding a shared Christian vision for learning while enabling each school to flourish within its own context. Working closely with the Board, Principals and Executive Team, the Executive Principal will lead:
Christ-centred spiritual, missional and cultural leadership across the Group
Strategic planning, organisational improvement and future readiness
Educational excellence, innovation and digital transformation
Leadership development, accountability and succession across schools
Governance, compliance, risk management and Board reporting
Financial stewardship, enrolment sustainability and capital planning
External engagement, advocacy and partnerships within the Christian and education sectors
This role calls for a leader who can articulate and champion a compelling Christian vision for education at scale, foster strong and healthy school communities, and lead with wisdom, humility and courage through complexity and change.
The Person
The successful candidate will be a spiritually mature, visionary and highly capable Christian leader with substantial senior leadership experience within Christian or independent schooling.
You will bring:
A vibrant, personal Christian faith, expressed through active church involvement
Deep theological literacy and the ability to articulate a biblical worldview in contemporary educational contexts
Significant experience leading principals or senior leaders within complex or multi-campus environments
Demonstrated success in strategic planning, organisational improvement and change leadership
Strong capability in governance, compliance, accreditation and risk management
A proven track record in educational leadership, innovation and evidence-informed practice
High emotional intelligence, relational warmth and excellent communication skills
A servant-hearted, ethical and resilient leadership style aligned with Christian values
Location & Tenure
Location: Pacific Group Head Office, Dural NSW
Employment Type: Full-time, ongoing (as per contract)
Travel: Regular travel to regional PGOCS schools is required
Start Date: The successful candidate will ideally be able to engage with PGCS throughout 2026 with a view to begin responsibilities term 1 of the 2027 school year.
