The Role

As the HR Manager with AC, you will be integral to supporting the Executive Leadership Team as the College University continues its journey of becoming a fully accredited University. Drawing on your HR experience, you will have the opportunity to partner with AC’s senior leaders, providing HR advice, strategic planning, and facilitation of the HR operations, helping to ensure AC stays at the forefront of Christian educational delivery.

AC is looking for an experienced HR manager to the lead and develop the HR team and operations. As AC’s HR manager you will be a strong HR generalist, working in alignment with the College Universities plans for future growth, developing and implementing strategies that align with the business, staffing, and cultural goals.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the HR industry, and a passion to impact the Kingdom of God through the training and equipping of Christian leaders. This role will offer the opportunity to implement and operate day-to-day activity in addition to developing and driving an effective HR strategy through the College University.

Along with providing general HR administrative support across the organisation, the HR Manager will be responsible for the management and administration of:

  •  Compensation & Benefits: Management of the payroll process, keeping updated on salary trends and relevant awards, Enterprise Agreements, and sacrifice opportunities for employees.

  • Talent Acquisition: Management of recruitment and selection process, position descriptions, employment contracts, and talent attraction.

  • Employee Relations: Manage employee grievances, initiate and implement programs that support employee engagement, oversee code of conduct and employee handbook updates, and support team with performance Management training.

  • Organisational staffing strategy: Oversight required change management of staff structure and design, job design, and culture strategy.

  • Training and Development: Manage onboarding, cross training, organisational learning, needs assessment, leadership, and hard and soft skills development.

  • HR Compliance and Risk Management: Develop, review, and maintain the management of HR policies and procedures, including understanding current employment laws and required documentation.
